How do you pronounce Saorsa? (It’s “SOOR-SAH”)
Short answer: Saorsa is pronounced “SOOR-SAH”. Two syllables, with the stress on the first (SOOR-sah, the first part rhyming with “poor”), not sa-OR-sa. The “ao” is a single vowel sound, not two separate letters.

Where the name comes from
Saorsa (spelled s-a-o-r-s-a) is a real Scottish Gaelic word. It means freedom, or liberty. In Gaelic the letter cluster “ao” is one long vowel rather than the “a-o” an English reader expects, which is why the spelling and the sound look further apart than they are.
Why we chose it
The product is built around one idea: the freedom to understand what is actually happening anywhere in the real world. Not an algorithmic feed optimised to keep you scrolling, but the real world, with the data and the people that explain it in one place. Saorsa was the word that meant exactly that.
So when you say it out loud: SOOR-SAH.
