Saorsa is an AI-native social network organised around real-world events rather than people or posts. You follow events rather than accounts, and everything being posted, filmed, measured and reported about one event lives on a single page that keeps updating while the event does. AI verifies each event against official sources, keeps finding relevant eyewitness content and reporting from across the internet, and decides which live data and imagery actually explain it. People near the event add local context, photos and discussion.

How is Saorsa different from a news app or a map app?

A news app gives you a headline, a map app gives you a position, a flight tracker gives you one layer. None of them is the event. Saorsa assembles the satellite view, the live data layers, the footage from people there and the conversation into one page per event, and the page takes whatever shape the situation calls for rather than one template.

Where does Saorsa get its data?

Satellite imagery, official alerting sources, live data layers such as AIS shipping, aircraft, weather and the power grid, and content from people on the ground. An agentic AI pipeline sources and verifies worldwide and translates into more than 100 languages. Every event carries a trust grade derived from official and multi-source corroboration.

A Lens is a community organised around a kind of thing happening anywhere on Earth: aviation, maritime, wildfires, earthquakes, volcanoes. Inside one you discuss what is live under it, including the data layers themselves, and you can hand somebody the flight, the ship or the fire directly so they open exactly what you are looking at.

About Saorsa

Saorsa is social media that understands the world, using AI to turn live data, imagery and human perspectives into a shared social experience. You follow events rather than accounts, and AI reads more than 150 live data sources alongside what people at the scene are posting, so every event has one page that keeps updating while it happens.

Saorsa is pronounced SOOR-SAH, the Scottish Gaelic word for freedom. It is commonly mistyped as Sorsa, Soorsa, Saursa, Saorsah, Saoursa or Seorsa.
